Most of our Men's DII College Rankings have held up nicely in the final stages of the national playoffs, but not perfectly.

The biggest issue for us was Salisbury and Towson. Salisbury's early-season non-conference loss to Mount St. Mary's hung heavy on their ranking, and when they beat Towson, only to lose to Towson in the conference final. All of that had us in a bit of a state, because we were pretty sure that Salisbury and Towson were very strong, but they both had losses on their record, enough to bump them out of the top four. The difference between those two and the other two, Rowan and VMI, weren't exactly out of place - Rowan lost to Towson by three, and and VMI lost to Salisbury by nine. 

Mines drops behind Lindenwood-Belleville on the basis of a one-point loss to to the Lynx. The Lynx are behind Grand Valley State because GVSU had a better score v Minnesota-Duluth than did Lindenwood-Belleville.

Rhode Island moves up after pushing Wisconsin-Whitewater in the closest game of the season for the Warhawks. Georgetown moves up because the teams that beat them, Towson and Salisbury, proved they are really good. Coast Guard moves up after a strong performance against Towson, and after beating IUP. And so it goes. Teams that were beaten badly in the playoffs drop down. The teams in their conferences sometimes move down, too.
