With only a few games this week we'd be forgiven for not moving anyone, but of course the few results we did get prompt moves anyway.

We picked all six winners last week, albeit not by the margins that actually occurred, but overall we had it pegged, including predicting that Tennessee would beat Kennesaw State even though KSU was the higher-ranked team.

Is that enough to move Tennessee up? Yes, yes it is. Seeing as the Vols' lone loss in league play was the league opener against KSU. They well and truly put that results in the rear-view mirror.

But we've reevaluated Virginia Tech as a result, also. Every conference champion was flawed in some way, and so we're thinking that one loss for Va Tech in the most competitive conference in the country might not be such a bad thing.

Dartmouth is shaky at #2 after winning the Ivy League (good), but by a razor-thin margin (not as good). So we could well see a team do well in this weekend's playoff weekend and bump the Big Green down.

Tennessee obviously moves up and #4 looks good for now, mostly because Bowling Green lost two league games before winning the MAC.

Western Washington kind of erases its earlier loss to Oregon State by beating OSU fairly convincingly on Saturday. And with Brown doing well in a loss to Dartmouth, Brown moves up, and we've decided to bring Columbia into the Top 40 as part of a bullish-on-Ivy coattail situation.
