Two of the top three won in a fashion we'd expect. Arizona won and nudges ahead of UCLA (UCLA's ranking ahead of Arizona was somewhat speculative anyway), and despite losing a competitive Grand Canyon rises into our Top 20.
Remember, this is how we vote for the D1A rankings, they're not the official ones. But this gives you an idea of who is pushing from the 21-40 list. Your biggest mover is North Texas, who jumps 11 places to #38. What if UNT beats Oklahoma? Could we be considering Top 20?
The problems with the Red River teams in general is that they haven't logged results outside of the conference that help. A&M is pinned down by an early loss to Clemson. Even if we think A&M is better than Clemson now, we'd have to see some indication of that. Both A&M and Oklahoma played highly-ranked out-of-state teams and lost big (BYU and Lindenwood). A closer result ight have nudged them up.
A&M plays Life, Cal Poly, Santa Clara, and Wisconsin this spring. That's useful for us.
