It's a busy weekend in men's DI rugby. Here are the games (come back to this space for updated scores).
Among the games to watch (see links to previews or key articles about that team. Games in bold are ones to follow closely):
Syracuse, at 2-0, can turn many heads with a win in Long Island against 1-0 Stony Brook. The Keystone Conference gets going in earnest with 1-0 Pitt at Shippensburg. St. Joe's takes the weekend off, so there's a chance for others - James Madison? - to make a move.
Bowling Green gets a big test in their MAC opener at Western Michigan. Wheeling Jesuit at Army is a huge game in terms of figuring out how the Rugby East will finihs up. the SIRC has just started but given last week;s results, FIU at South Florida means a great deal.
They all matter in the Big Ten, but perhaps Wisconsin at Iowa has a bit more at stake. If either harbors dreams of a conference title, then this is a must-win game. The HOA gets started with Nebraska at Kansas State.
In non-conference play, Oklahoma at Arkansas, and Arkansas State at Middle Tennessee State could tell us all a lot about where those teams need to be ranked.
