Time to put up or shut up this weekend in Men's DI college rugby? Yes, maybe it is.

Friday, Fordham takes on Stony Brook in yet another chapter of the saga of the Empire Conference. Currently, Six of the seven teams in the conference are still in with a chance at making the championship game. Two of them are Fordham and Stony Brook. They both sit at 2-2, and the winner will most likely move into 1st place for a day. A loss will likely eliminate that team from championship contention.

On Saturday, Colgate plays the US Merchant Marine Academy, and is favored to win that game. If that happens, Colgate is back in contention. Meanwhile, Binghamton (3-1) and Brockport (3-2) face off. Brockport has to win to stay in with a shot at the final between the #1 and #2 team in the standings, because this is Brockport's final league game. Binghamton has two more games left, and could lose and still be in with a shot.

In the Big Ten, there are three undefeated teams chasing 3-0 Indiana. Two of them, Wisconsin and Ohio State, play each other this weekend. 

In the Chesapeake, it is, like the Empire, a highly competitive conference. Maryland, 1-3 but with very close losses, takes on 3-1 JMU, and 3-2 Towson plays 1-3 Virginia. JMU can take a big step forward with the win.

In the Ivy League, Harvard opens their fancy new field with a game against Cornell. Dartmouth is the dominant team in this conference, again, but the chase is still on for the spring playoff to figure out who makes the DIAA playoffs. While 2-0 Princeton gets to show how good they might be by visiting Dartmouth, Harvard can jump to 3-1 with a win. 

The Keystone is already in the playoffs. Pitt hosts Temple, and is favored, and Lock Haven visits Rutgers, who should win that game. West Chester hosts Millersville in a game that could be a bit up in the air, and heavily-favored St. Joe's host Villanova.

In the Rugby East, Army at Wheeling Jesuit is the one to watch, as WJU is unbeaten and could be the only team able to catch unbeaten Penn State. Penn State hosts Iona, which won't be easy, and Kutztown looks to rebound after a loss to Wheeling Jesuit, visiting St. Bonaventure.

The other game to watch, is, of course, Western Michigan at Bowling Green. Both teams are 2-0 in the MAC. WMU won the regular-season clash between the two last year, in a contentious game. This year? BGSU might well be favored. It is certainly the game of the weekend in the MAC.
