Villanova Impressive as they Join Scranton at 5-0
We are now into the serious area of the season. We're building toward playoffs and a lot of conferences backload some of their matchups (at least, they backload it the way they think it will all shake out).
Right now UNC Wilmington and Northern Iowa seem to be the strongest in the nation. But we think Villanova might be really strong. We also know that tough conferences (NACR, for example) can bring out a hardened team that finds the playoff run almost easier than the regular season.
We are wondering heavily about the High Peaks, as we see very little consistency of performances there. Weber State is the highest ranked HP team and they are at #21.
We have a couple of massive games coming up, including UNI (#2) vs UWM (#13), and even better, #5 Miami vs #6 Grand Valley State. Those two were a point apart last year.
