Well we've been talking about how there's a top tier and a 2nd tier and then a 3rd tier in Men's D2 college rugby, and it's clear to us that is the case.
Fourteen of our Top 20 played, and only one lost. That loss was #15 losing to #10.
Only one team lost to a lower-ranked opponent, and that was #37 South Dakota State losing by 5 to #38 Minnesota-Duluth. So generally there's an upper tier and a second tier, and we don't really have a lot of changes.
Who might break into the Top 40 is still a question. This week Northern Colorado and Ferris State break in. We're keeping an eye on Weber State, RIT, Ferris State, and North Dakota State. All could easily vault into the Top 40.
Biggest mover, by the way, is Coastal Carolina, which beat North Carolina Chapel Hill and scored 61 on them. Quite the high-powered offense. We'll see if they can build on that.
