Whie some teams performed as expected we do have some shifts in the first post-results rankings for D1A.

McKendree and Ohio State move into the Top 25 after impressive victories. Army and Penn State nudge up. We did consider moving both Mary Washington and Mount St. Mary's up, but given that both have big games ahead we'll wait.

We also considered expanding this ranking to a top 30. Part of that is because there is some good competition to break into this ranking. The other part is that D1A looks to be expanding with a couple of additions D1A will be announcing soon—one of those will be an interesting surprise for fans. No, don't guess, you won't get it. The other one is UTEP, which opens its season next week against Arizona.

There are 12 games involving D1A teams this coming weekend, with six of them being D1A-vs-D1A, and the other six being D1A vs NCR teams. Penn State at Navy will be a tough test for the PSU's new Head Coach. For our purposes, Ohio State vs Michigan State is a big one.
