The inaugural MIAA season is entering the back half of the schedule in Massachusetts. 

Now recognized by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association as a varsity sport, a new tournament setup will also go into effect for teams in the league.  

Rather than points and a league table, any team that makes .500 will automatically qualify for the post-season.  

Here is a snapshot of where each team in Division 1 currently stands with 3 weeks remaining in the regular season: 

 

BC High: 4-0, (3-0 MIAA)

Wins over St John’s Prep, Xaverian Brothers HS, Belmont, Bishop Hendricken (non-league).

Remaining Matches: Brookline, Lincoln-Sudbury, Needham.

 

Belmont: 3-1 MIAA

Wins over Xaverian, Brookline, Lincoln Sudbury.  Non-league tour of Chile. 

Remaining Matches: St. John’s Prep, Needham.  

 

St. John’s Prep: 2-1  

Wins over Needham and Brookline.  

Remaining matches against Belmont, Lincoln-Sudbury, Xaverian.

 

Lincoln-Sudbury: 2-2 (1-2 MIAA)

Wins over Brookline, Wilbraham & Monson (non-league)

Remaining Matches: Needham, BC High, St. John’s Prep.  

 

Xaverian: 2-2 MIAA

Wins over Lincoln Sudbury, Needham.  

Remaining Matches: St. John’s Prep, Brookline. 

 

Needham: 1-2 MIAA

Wins over: Brookline.

Remaining Matches: Lincoln-Sudbury, Belmont, BC High.

 

Brookline: 0-4

Remaining Matches: BC High, Xaverian.
