AIC won in impressive fashion over Nazareth to move to 4-0 in the Liberty Conference D1 level.

It continues to be a solid season for the Yellow Jackets and while they have won some games in close circumstances, they won this one by 26.

Chasing AIC is Dartmouth, which beat Northeastern 24-12 to move to 2-1. Their one loss was 27-24 to AIC. Dartmouth got two tries from Gabe Riordan as well as tries from Luca Stazzolini and Abe Kamara. Meanwhile, Buffalo has to be shaking their heads as they lost another close game, with Havard beating UB 28-27. Buffalo has lost two conference games by a total of three points.

In the D1 West, Brown hammered Colgate 88-0 with their scrum controlling the game on a very wet day. Not surprisingly Brown's No. 8, Antonio Esteves, scored five tries. That puts Brown at 4-0, while Iona made a bit of a move with a 32-29 win over Syracuse. That game was perhaps not quite as close as the score would suggest as Iona was only 1-for-6 on conversions. Hit three of those five missed and you have a 38-29 scoreline.

Of course, theoretical points don't actually count. Syracuse did lead in the second half on a pass interception. But Iona clawed back with back rowers Conor Byrne and Chris Durman showing well. Prop Sean Boyle scored the game-winner. All of thhat ut Iona at 2-2.

In Liberty's D1AA league Boston College won again, battling through a windy (40mph gusts) Sunday game to beat Yale 26-7. It was a bit of a defensive battle and Yale did well to hold Boston College to a 12-0 scoreline at halftime. But BC kept up the pressure, despite a late Yale try.

George Speres scored two tries while Pat McMahon and Patrick Lively touched down to lead the Eagles.

Against the wind in the first half BC controlled the ball well and recycled effectively. Freshman flyhalf Lively and freshman wing McMahon went over. McMahon has eight tries in his last three games.

With the wind BC looked to run away with it but didn't quite.

"The second was not as smooth as we hoped," said Head Coach Rob Conway. "Yale simplified their tactics well and adjusted to the conditions."

Along with his tries Speres poached several balls and made a number of massive tackles to earn player of the game honors.

Binghamton won big over Brockport behind 38 points (!) from flyhalf Mike Davitt. No. 8 Will Otondi, center Liam Heanue, and flanker Trent Weschler all scored three tries, but Davitt scored four and added nine conversions. The 38 points helped Davitt to break Binghamton's all-time scoring record, breaking Brandon Healy's total of 244.

Two pieces of additional information related to the standings below. First off, we don't have a score for the Cortland vs Albany game but we know Cortland won, so the points for and against aren't updated. Same with the bonus points.

Also, Siena is going to be moved to Liberty's D1 playoff pathway and will be required to play a Play-In game with an as-yet-unnamed opponent from another conference. More on this story to come.
