Tours are still part of the recipe this weekend.
Once again 901 is on the road, joining Woodlands on a trip to New Orleans to take on Jesuit New Orleans, Brother Martin, and each other.
The SOC Raptors open up their season with a trip to Tempe. There's a HS Nationals piece to this puzzle in that the SoCal teams are still playing to get into the tournament. Also to that is Rye vs Xavier. The winner of that game is for sure going to Nationals. The losing team might.
Some other all-rankings games on the slate:
#2 School team Gonzaga hosts #3 St. Ignatius. It's an excellent rivalry and one that was last played out in the 2022 national school final. In that game Ignatius won, but the lineups are pretty different now.
#14 Strake Jesuit vs #23 St. Thomas in Texas is NOT happening, it's actually Strake vs Dallas Jesuit (#13) in a battle of unbeatens. #28 school team Moeller vs #29 school team St. Xavier in Ohio. And of course we have #11 vs #12 school teams in Connecticut in Staples vs Greenwich.
#1 Herriman takes on #39 Highland; #9 school team Jesuit Sacramento plays #2 club team Granite Bay in NorCal. In Pennsylvania LaSalle (#30) plays #20 St. Joseph's Prep. In Colorado #21 school Regis Jesuit plays #34 club Valor, while in Vienna plays Aspetuck in a clash of #8 vs #16 clubs. (Royal Irish vs Penn has been moved.)
Boston College High, McQuaid Jesuit, Fordham Prep, and Fairfield Prep all congregate to play shortened games at Fairfield.
Oklahoma and Virginia kicks off, and so does Rugby PA.
