Kutztown Women Handle TCNJ Test, Look to Playoffs
As the CRAA / ACRA women's D2 college playoffs coming together, one team with an excellent shot at doing something is Kutztown.
The Golden Bears ran away from TCNJ over the weekend to win their final regular season game and look ahead to the MARC playoffs. After winning their last game by a large margin, KU was tested this time around, and led only 7-5 at halftime.
But a very nicely-taken try from wing Bella Cimino, who got the ball on the edge, but in traffic, and cut back against the grain the slice up the TCNJ defense.
After that, it was forwards Kelsey Bernhart and Gabby Quigg who caused TCNJ all kinds of problems.
Both players thundered through tacklers to expand the lead.
Wth scrumhalf Jenna Wilson working hard to keep the phases moving and was also dangerous in launching weakside attacks.

Meanwhile TCNJ put a real scare into the Bears and with flyhalf Sofia Stivale and center Caroline Petrie they defended doggedly and tested the KU defenders.
Ultimately, Kutztown won 29-10, proving they won't collapse when tested.
