James Madison followed up their USA Rugby DII 7s championships with a Cup Final win in the Men's College bracket of the Surfside Sevens in Stone Harbor, NJ.

Madison beat the Heat Elite 19-14 in the final. The Heat Elite is a team of college-age players, most of whom played HS rugby for the Hampton Heat program. The Heat Elite played last season against Cardinals Conference teams, including conference champs JMU.

The college bracket was notable also because it was the return to the field of the University of Delaware team. Playing as the Blue Hens, the Delaware team beat Ville Rugby and West Chester before losing to the Heat Elite.
