HS Clubs

Ten HS Clubs have received invitations, with five more in two separate play-ins to decide two more spots. There are also several teams on a wild card list where their progress through the season will be closely monitored.

Those invited teams are:
Cavemen (UT)
LCA (UT)
Charlotte Cardinals (NC)
Charlotte Tigers (NC)
Doylestown (PA)
Eastside Lions (WA)
KC Jr. Blues (MO)
Raptor Rugby (TN)
San Diego Mustangs (CA)*
The Woodlands (TX)

In addition, three teams will compete for a spot out of Southern California, and two in Northern California will also compete for a spot. One more spot is open to a large number of teams around the nation.

Single-School Teams

Nine school teams have received and have accepted invitations to the tournament. In addition, one play-in was already played, this past weekend between St. Edward and St. Xavier in Ohio. St. Edward won that. One other play-in is scheduled for later in the spring.

The invited teams are:
Gonzaga College HS (DC)
Greenwich High School (CT)
Herriman HS (UT)
Jesuit Sacramento (CA)
Notre Dame de La Salette (IL)
Saint Ignatius (OH)*
St Thomas Aquinas (KS)
Strake Jesuit (TX)
Xavier HS (NY)

Add to that list St. Edward (OH) who won their play-in over St. Xavier 41-10.

Once the list of teams is finalized, all teams are seeded, with the top eight seeds in each bracket competing for that bracket's National Championship. The remaining eight teams compete in the Tier II Championship.

Everyone plays May 21, 22, and 23 in Elkhart, Ind.
