Of our D1 top 50, 41 teams are in action this weekend, plus a decent list of teams knocking on that door.
Several of these games have a big influence on conferences and rankings.
Wheeling at Thomas More is another step forward for the Big Rivers.
Army at Notre Dame College in the Rugby East will be a good indication of how improved the Falcons are. Mary Washington at Navy is another huge game.
In the Big Ten Indiana will look to bounce back from their loss to Davenport last week to face a tough Michigan State side in conference play.
The Southern Conference sees Belmont Abbey, coming off a good win over Citadel, taking on North Carolina Chapel Hill, which won over Lander in the opening weekend. So at first glance this could be a top-shelf showdown. Friday night Dartmouth kicks off their conference schedule after a slow buildup, and the Big Green takes on an AIC team that has already beaten Buffalo and, last week, Northeastern.
Heart of America, NCRC, and Lonestar all get going.
Non-Conference Games to Watch
Life University steps onto the field and will likely run out a relatively young side against Kennesaw State. Ohio State plays their annual clash with Bowling Green, a game that usually gives us a competitive contest. Bowling Green got multiple tries from Travis Riba and Juliano Chesnick in beating Dayton last week and really this will be their first big test. OSU has already been tested early with a close win over Tennessee.
The aforementioned Davenport side will take on Iowa Central CC in a game that has a lot more influence on the rankings than anything else. It's just a good matchup.
