The USA Boys High School All Americans are set to kick off against the Canadian U18s today in Chula Vista at the Elite Athletic Training Center

Both programs will split their squads to make two teams, producing a double-header, with Canada Red vs USA Blue at 1PM Pacific Time, and Canada White vs USA White at 2:30PM PT.

"I am really pleased with the commitment and attitude the players have shown throughout the build up to camp and since we arrived at the EATC. They've had a lot to do to prepare remotely over the last two months," said HSAA Head Coach Brendan Keane. "It's always a challenge to bring together players from all over and prepare for a match in a short window, but the staff have done a great job and the players have taken the challenge on board."

The players showed that decision to taken the challenge on in the opening game, coming back from a 14-7 deficit to beat Canada Red 26-19. Flanker Lucas Pattinson paced the HSAA team with two tries

In the second game, Canada White ran out to a 20-7 halftime lead. HSAA White stormed back with three tries to lead 26-25, only to see Canada White slot a late penalty goal to win 28-26.

It's all part of the learning process.

"The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center has been a great partner in this the last two years," added Keane. "Great people and facilities to get what the players need to perform and help us reach those outcomes I spoke about. Also grateful to Kevon Williams for speaking at the jersey presentation last night and the boys to take photos around the Olympic Torch."
