Leagues are eating up and we've got some interesting games this week.
Marvin Ridge vs South Meck is a 4-1 team against a 4-0 team on Friday night in North Carolina. Torrey Pines visits Orange Lutheran.
Torrey Pines vs Cathedral a Tale of Two Roccos
In Florida it's still preseason but we're still very interested in Key Biscayne vs Okapi and Boca vs Gibbons. Those are two games that could be playoff previews; certainly these teams are circling each other a little bit.
In South Carolina we've got a jamboree with shortened games. That's why you see some teams playing multiple games. We also see two of the very best of Arizona face off in the opening weekend of competitive play there.
Next week we will see NorCal single-school teams in their school season, and there's a new team in that league, which is now a nice eight-team league. Meanwhile, Texas has a jamboree this weekend which is really interesting because it's not just a series of short, managed games, but the games have designated offense and defense. So you have one team with the ball for 12 minutes (turnovers would result in a restart for the offense team). It's a good way to just have practice games against different opposition.
Teas gets into league play next week, as well.
