Is Hard Work Enough for Life?
Life University’s Running Eagles can’t be a work in progress any more, as the Running Eagles host Lindenwood Saturday in Marietta.
The young, hard-working Life team did enough to push aside Penn State last week, but Head Coach Tui Osborne wasn’t overly impressed.
“We played a lot of rugby in their half after the first 20, which was good,” said Osborne. “We had some missed opportunities early on in the match that I would have liked us to convert, but we fell short.”
Finishing will be crucial for both teams — Life won both gems with Lindenwood this past season, but by margins of four and three, respectively.
“I was happy with our physicality on defense,” said Osborne. “We plan to build on that as well.”
But Penn State was so of in-season and sort of not. Lindenwood is in form right now, and their offense is firing.
Life is still bringing players back online from injury, so maybe they aren’t quite in mid-season form. But Osborne has them working hard all the way through, and they know how to win tough games. This weekend promises nothing different.
