Bozeman, Mont. –Montana is set to host the Great Northwest Challenge once again in 2025.
Building off the success from the 2024 edition, the tournament will take place June 28-29, 2025 at Bozeman Sports Park Complex, Bozeman, Mont.
The tournament will feature the following divisions:

U19 Boys (15s) SYRO/State Teams Only
U23 Womens (15s) Open Division

This tournament, organized by Montana Institute Of Sport and supported by the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce TBID Grant, provides for a college showcase, talent identification event for USA Rugby and more importantly a fun engagement
It has also committed itself to servicing only teams from State organizations, as opposed to independent touring sides.
Based on feedback from teams, the U15 Girls bracket has been adjusted to 7s and is now an open division, allowing for both representative teams and club teams to compete. Additionally, the tournament has added a U23 Division for men and women to give those players regionally a competitive event prior to returning to their Fall play.
"It’s a great pleasure to bring back the GNC for the second year to Montana," said JD Stephenson, Tournament Organizer. "The 2025 edition is set to provide more opportunities for competitive play, increased exposure and more importantly a fun environment to enjoy the sport”.
