Well now that teams have been getting some results under their belts, here we are with our first girls HS rankings of 2025.
It's getting a little bit less-difficult as more teams are playing 15s instead of 7s in their league. Among the teams to keep an eye on are Woodlands, which showed well at the Friendship Cup, beating Father Ryan and Tennessee Raptors. This was a new jump into 15s rugby and while they also lost to the Charlotte Cardinals, this is an indication of how girls rugby is re-expanding into 15s.
Another to watch out for is the Raleigh Cobras team, which has impressed early, Liberty out of Washington, and Rocky Mountain out of Idaho. Rocky Mountain defeated 2024 Single-School national champs Eagle HS in league play, which is clearly pretty noteworthy.
We're waiting on a few teams, and Montana's league carries a number of questions, so we'll see which team emerges from there.
