Gamebreakers Boys HS Rugby Mid-January
Well we're back with Gamebreakers in HS Boys rugby.
Here's a look at players who stood out over the past week.
Johnny Gunn, Oceanside
The Oceanside flyhalf played some excellent defense and in his overall game play led his side to a 17-7 win over Greer in South Carolina.
Andrew Wender, Brother Martin
In Louisiana's opening preseason tournament Wender made several key try-saving tackles in Brother Martin's opening win over East Jefferson.
Nick Lowe, St. Paul's
Lowe was a powerful presence with ball in hand and was also hugely influential in winning rucks and playing defense as St. Paul's started their season in the Louisiana opening tournament.
Zyon Leuluai, Red Mountain
Leuluai broke open a tight game between Red Mountain and Tempe with an astonishing run through the entire Tempe defense. He capped off Red Mountain's win with a second try, too.
Nice try for @RedMtnYouth No. 8 Zyon Leuluai. Nine guys have a chance to get him. Two sort of do, but it's too late by then. pic.twitter.com/IWVC2GnLug

Flanker Jolly was player of the game as Torrey Pines defeated Orange Lutheran by a point.
Daven Tonumaipea, Orange Lutheran
In a one-point loss against Torrey Pines, Tonumaipea was a massive threat running with the ball and was a big part of why Orange Luthern led Pines 21-3 in the first half.
Colby Marr, Hough
In a big win over Sun Valley, Marr, playing hooker for the Huskies, scored tree tries.
Aiden Gallant, South Meck
In a tight game between two heated North Carolina rivals, Gallant was a key ballcarrier and led the attack for South Meck.
Jake Schumacher, Marvin Ridge
The Marvin Ridge center scored a key early try and played a massive role on attack and defense as Marvin Ridge defeated South Meck.
