OK, no clickbait here.
We have make simple changes in the NCR D1 and the overall D1AA rankings to wrap up the fall.
We have no other reasons to make other changes. So what we had was #2 beat #1 in NCR D1, and we had #1 beating #2 in NCR's D1AA final.
We move Wayne State up because, after the HOA playoffs (that Wayne State couldn't compete it) we were forced to take a closer look at all the crossover results, and decided we had it wrong.
That's it.
Some quick little pieces of analysis.
In NCR D1 we ranked 26 different teams. The biggest improvers were Belmont Abbey (up 10 spots from the opening ranking), Fairfield (up 7 spots), Walsh (up 6 spots), Notre Dame (up 5 spots), and three teams (Wisconsin, Rio Grande, and Aquinas) not ranked at the beginning and ending up 15, 21, and 17, respectively.
In D1AA (remember, we are ranking NCR and CRAA teams together here, just limited to teams with significant fall schedules), Babson was not ranked and made it to #18. Iowa improved from #12 to #5. Oklahoma went from unranked to #13. Texas A&M went from #22 to #6, West Chester #27 to #15.
That's the fall. A great fall. See you in the New Year with a new D1AA ranking. NCR D1 is done for the year.
