EGRL Showcase A Weekend of Competitive Games

Not surprisingly, the teams that have been on the field more showed a little better—both the Charlotte Cardinals and the Clayton/Raleigh Redhawks combined team went 3-0. But as you can see above, there were very few games that would be considered blowouts. Aspetuck was probably the most dominant team, only giving up the one try. But overall only two teams ended up winless out of 11, and even they had their moments. But for the most part we saw a group of teams that played in a bunch of games (33 results in all-17 games) that could have gone either way. Of the 33 17 games played (that's an odd number, we know, but they made up for it with a Motley side to face Atlanta), four were decided by a try or less, and only five were shutouts. Raleigh Cobras and Morris showed well, and in fact those two played in one of the closest games, with Morris winning 17-14. The hard luck team might have been Downingtown, which just barely lost to Charlotte and held Aspetuck to a 12-0 decision; with a little more good fortune they might have been 3-0. EGRL So.
