DIA Gamebreakers This Week
It's not entirely about the front row, but the front row features heavily in our list of D1A players who stood out this past week.
Ryan Rees, Life University
With a try, three covnersions, and a penalty, as well as an athletic and heads-up play to end the game, Rees was probably the difference in Life's 29-22 defeat of Lindenwood.
Louis MacLaughlin, Arizona
The Wildcats center scored a try and provided some key impact in a game that was on a knife edge. Arizona beat UCLA 27-26.
Alex Domine, Cal Poly
The fullback scored three tries in the first half as the Mustangs defeated UC Davis 38-17.
Payton Telea Ilalio, Saint Mary’s
The Gaels loosehead prop has been perhaps their most consistent player this season, always making the gain line, always getting the job done in the set piece. Against San Diego State he got the ball rolling with a try and just didn’t stop.
Thomas Knapp, UC Santa Barbara
The UCSB hooker scored a key try and was instrumental throughout in in team’s upset of Santa Clara.
Tommy Batterson, Texas A&M
Another hooker, Batterson has an enormous work rate, throws well in the lineout, scores tries, and hits hard, and he did all of that as A&M dismissed Texas.
Cullen Gordon, Oklahoma
The OU lock scored three tries and kicked a conversion as Oklahoma beat Texas Tech.
Jason Scheepers, Arkansas State
The big-striding center scored three tries and was a massive problem for Clemson as the Red Wolves won comfortably over the Tigers.
Damon Wiley, Cal
A try and continued his torrid pace as a force in the front row for the Bears as Cal beat UBC 36-21.
