Richmond, VA— The three-year “Powered by Serevi” partnership with the Capital Rugby Union will kick off with a men and women’s 15s High Performance Player and Coach Camp in Washington D.C. Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1 with a coaching clinic.
There will also be a social Friday, February 27. All Capital Rugby Union members will be allowed to attend the camp free of charge.

This highly-interactive program will feature former England 7s star Ben Gollings, former USA Eagle Shawn Pittman, former USA Eagle and Connacht center Pate Tuilevuka, and USA Women's Forwards Coach, Luke Gross. The Washington Elite 7s Coaching staff will also be in attendance and inviting players to the camp.
The player camp will focus on several key components of performance including core skills, tactic awareness and strength and conditioning. Other key concepts that will that will be explored include individual skill development, position specific and unit work and understanding defense strategies. The player camp will take place Saturday, February 28th from 10am to 4 pm and Sunday, March 1 from 10am to 2pm.
The coaching workshop will be hands on and practical including the latest game day strategies and player management techniques. There will be a coach’s social on Friday, February 27 from 6-9pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC. The coaching workshop will take place Saturday, February 28 from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, March 1 from 10am to 2pm.
The player camp and coaching workshop will take place at the Cardozo Education Campus located at 1200 Clifton Street NW, Washington, DC 20009.
The player camp and coaching workshop are free to Capital Rugby Union members. There is a $75 fee for non-CRU players and $50 for non-CRU coaches.
