DC Elite went 5-0 and took home the title in the Maryland Exiles' Halloween Sevens tournament in Rockville, Maryand on Saturday, October 28, with scrum half David Mitchell of Georgetown Prep taking the Player of the Tournament.  The team returned seven juniors from the summer JV RCT squad hailing from local Jesuit rivals Gonzaga and Georgetown Prep but added Gonzaga juniors Joe Royston, Gordan McMillan, Tim Sessings, Gonzaga seniors Will Lyke and Ian Kilkullen and Prep's Mitchell.

As was the case with their unveiling in New Jersey RCT, it was a balanced, unselfish, team first style of fluid play that created gaps in the opposing defense.  Eleven players scored over the course of the day where DC averaged 35 points per game.  Their physicality and team speed combined to hold opponents to less than 5 points conceded per game including 3 shutouts (3 tries overall from 5 matches).

"It's so enjoyable to watch the boys play for one another even though they come from rival programs," said Coach joe Freeman. "They are all friends off the pitch and it shows when they play.  I am really looking forward to seeing these guys grow over the coming months and adding the rest of the boys after fall sports conclude."

DC Elite will return next in the Great Falls Virginia Sevens Tournament November 19.
