Dartmouth Finishes Ivy League Undefeated
Dartmouth secured the regular-season Ivy League championship with a clinical 51-19 defeat of Harvard.
The victory meant Dartmouth finishes the fall 7-0 in the Ivy League, and Harvard drops to 5-1. Harvard will finished 2nd in the Ivy League and take the top seed in the DIAA playoff (in which Dartmouth doesn’t participate).
Dartmouth’s ball movement was speedy and too clinical for Harvard. Jonathan Abraham was again the beneficiary of the Dartmouth forward platform and snappy passing, scoring three tries in the first half for a 32-0 lead. Phil Sheridan scored two in the Dartmouth victory.
Brown defeated Yale 17-12 to thanks to two first-half tries from Mike Manning and Connor McDermott, and Peter McHugh’s goalkicking helped, as well. Cornell defeated Princeton 22-12.
The win by Brown ensures they are in the four-team playoff in the spring. Yale remains vulnerable as Penn has a result still coming.
