Conference uppers hands are at stake this week.
Gateway
St. Louis University at Principia. This will likely end up with Principia winning, but SLU has surprised us before. Central Missouri is also favored at Pitt State and really they've been very strong this year. UCM beat Southern Nazarene last week in a game where they just played a methodical, physical, patient style of play. That's not to say they are slow, they're not, but they crush you with their phases. Their forwards have been really strong and their defense was excellent.
UCM went down a man a few times but held on when they did. It came at a price with some key injuries, so that adds some questions to this week's game. But overall, Central Missouri works really hard, and there's a lot to be said for that.
Great Midwest
UW-Whitewater can build on a good victory last year by beating Northern Michigan this week. But UNM will not be happy at how things went for them last week and will be looking to rebound.
NEWCRC
Norwich was pretty astounding last week and now have Boston University.
Great Lakes
Central Michigan beat Calvin last week but ... it was really close. Can they handle Toledo? We'll see.
High Peaks
Northern Colorado won big vs. a tough Western Colorado last week and this week they face the top team in the conference (maybe) in Montana State. This is a huge game in the mountains.
