After a week off because everyone was off, we're back with the rankings update.
This past weekend we had 10 D1A matches, with the playoff Round of 16 plus the quarterfinals for the Challenge Cup. In the end the rankings were 10-for-10, with the higher-ranked team winning every game.
And more than that, the bigger the difference in rankings between the teams, the bigger the margin of victory. Here's a correlation comparison between the rankings difference (red line) and winning margin (blue line):
You see there's a pretty strong correlation there.
Anyway, there is just really two changes. Army's win over Arkansas State was quite impressive, and they bump up one spot. Santa Clara's Challenger Cup win bumps them up one spot.
