We had #1 vs #2 and so we do have some changing there.
We also saw #25 win a solid result and they move up. So #1 moves down and #25.
But really the news is how some rankings are holding steady.
Saint Mary's did as expected and stays at #3. Lindenwood beat Penn State and it's tough for us to consider moving Lindenwood ahead of Saint Mary's after those results.
Life did as expected. Arizona was ranked one spot ahead of. BYU and ... wouldn't you know it, won a close game over those Cougars. All through the rankings we saw things happen as the rankings expect.
So, now is the time to start thinking about how the rankings lead into seedings. Goff Rugby Report's rankings are just a part of the algorithm that makes the seedings, so the graphic below only represents on input into the actual seedings that we'll see in a few weeks.
In addition, remember, now, moving up or down in those D1A Rankings isn't necessarily important. Lindenwood moving past Saint Mary's makes no difference in the seedings. Life moving past Lindenwood, or Army moving past those Eastern teams, does. It all becomes rankings within the East and the West.
That's why we post this graphic, to give you an idea of how it might all shake out. For entertainment purposes only!
