CRAA Fall Classic Set for Dec 3-4 in NC
The College Rugby Association of America Fall Classic is all set with seven games over the weekend in Charlotte, NC.
Held at the Mecklenburg Sportsplex in Matthews, NC just outside Charlotte, the event will be held the weekend of December 3 and will include the D1 Elite Women's Final between Lindenwood University and Life University, and the CRAA Fall D1 Women's Final between Navy and Utah State.
In addition, the women's CRAA/ACRA DII semifinals will be held on December 3 with Vassar taking on Temple and Colorado School of Mines will play Coast Guard. The winners of those games will face off on Sunday, December 4 in the final.
There will also be two men's Bowl Games, with Colorado State facing Kentucky in the Mint City Bowl Game, and Ohio State facing off with Penn State in the Hornets Nest Bowl Game.
All of the finals will be shown live on The Rugby Network (link to come).
“Last year’s championship event was an incredible experience for CRAA and the competing teams, an experience we’re thrilled to expand on this December," said CRAA Chairperson Paul Keeler. "Our goal is to provide the student-athletes with a professional experience and deliver broadcast to all fans, alumni and spectators of the participating institutions. Partnering with The Rugby Network for our championships and upcoming match of the week is delivering the best of college rugby to alumni and fans both near and abroad.”
Sports apparel company 8x8 is the naming partner for the event.

1PM: WD1 Elite Final. Lindenwood vs Life
3PM: MD1A Mint City Bowl Game. Colorado State vs Kentucky
5PM: WD1 Fall Championship. Navy vs Utah State
7PM: MD1A Hornets Nest Bowl Game. Ohio State vs Penn State
Sunday, December 4
Noon: WD2 Fall Championship. Vassar or Temple vs School of Mines or Coast Guard
