Charlotte Catholic and Huskies will meet next week in the final of the North Carolina school league after both won semifinals this weekend.

Charlotte Catholic won comfortably, shutting out South Charlotte 47-0 to advance. This was a good result especially since Catholic were without a couple of starters who were still out following the Cathedral Catholic road trip two weeks ago.

This is Charlotte Catholic's second-straight appearance in the conference final after winning only once in the 2023-24 season.

For Huskies, this was a key win. Having lost to Cathedral Catholic and also Marvin Ridge by the scores of 14-12, Huskies was hoping for a chance at revenge.

They got it against Marvin Ridge. This time Huskies finished well, scoring seven tries, all converted, in winning 49-24 on a very col day.

"Our forwards were key and provided great go-forward, and, more often than not, dominated contact," said Huskies Head Coach Bruce Colson.

CJ Baker scored two tries, Kai Campbell, JJ Ah Hoy, Kade Frederick, TJ Keiffer, and Cooper Johnson all scored once.

Max Colson hit all seven conversions.

This sets up the other revenge opportunity for Huskies, as they will face Charlotte Catholic next week.
