Cortland Still Strong in Upstate NY
There’s not much on the one this week in the Upstate NY men’s DII college conference, as SUNY Cortland sits at 3-0 and waits for someone to unseat them. But with Niagara, SUNY Oswego, and Buffalo State all at 2-1, it will be tough sledding for the contenders.
Cortland’s only difficult game, however, was last week against Buff State (a 41-26 victory). With (0-2) Fredonia State their opponent this week, it’s likely we have to wait the October 11 game at SUNY Oswego for a potential Cortland loss.
The Red Dragons have enjoyed a solid season so far from inside center Tyler Russell, and Patrick O’Grady has done well at lock, while Michael Dotzler (center) and Harrison Conn (fullback) have also played well.
“We are finally coming together as a team and working together and have great support lines,” said Dotzler.
