Colorado girls kicked off their season past weekend with a 7s tournament.
Utah's United joined the Rugby Colorado teams and teams from the Colorado Interscholastic Rugby Association in a multi-bracket competition that, with 2nd squads, featured 22 separate teams in action on Saturday.
In the Varsity 1 bracket of five teams Summit HS got by United to finish the day 4-0. United was 3-1, followed by Fort Collins, Vista Vipers, and Monarch.
In the Varsity 2 bracket, Regis Jesuit and Denver East both ended up 3-1, with Regis Jesuit taking the tiebreaker.
Summit Tigers took 3rd followed by Evergreen and Eagle Valley.
The tournament was blessed with good weather and for the first weekend this was a solid showing by all.
Summit will play Denver East this Friday while their Tigers squad will face Regis Jesuit in CIRA action.
The next all-comers tournament will be September 30 at Regis Jesuit.
