It's a collegiate homecoming of sorts this weekend when Saint Mary's College of California hosts the Chicago Hounds at the California Legion in Major League Rugby.

This clash of the top two teams in the league is also a chance for two Saint Mary's grads to return to their stomping grounds. Both Chase Jones and Ronan Murphy, who were standout forwards for the Gaels, will suit up for the Legion.

So this is a chance for Saint Mary's area rugby fans to see two of their own in the professional arena.

Kickoff at Saint Mary's Stadium is 1PM PT.

Also this weekend we see a rematch between Anthem Rugby Carolina and the Seattle Seawolves. Anthem won a somewhat contentious match between the two; this is the first season that Anthem has been able to win any games in MLR. They are 2-4, having defeated Seattle and the Legion.

Luke Carty has logged 39 points in the six games (he's only played five), while former Central Washington hooker Campbell Robb leads the team with four tries.

This weekend's match is part of some important satellite events. The inaugural Seawolves 5K Run & Kids Dash will be held Saturday morning. And that afternoon the Washington Boys HS final Between Liberty and Eastside will be held at Starfire Stadium Saturday at 1PM. The MLR game is Sunday at 1PM PT.

Sunday night at 7PM ET New England (2-4) visits Old Glory (2-4).
