It's a small but very important weekend for college rugby, as six major championships are decided.
The women play off on Friday and then Saturday. The DII final is a meeting of the fall champions, Davenport, with the spring champions, Kennesaw State. The DI has been plait, basically sending the teams that lost in the quarterfinals into a Plate competition. It's not called that, it's called the DI Championships, with the winning quarterfinalists playing for the DI Elite Championships.
What that does is it gives teams time to plan their travel. Defending Elite champs Penn State and defending DI champs UC Davis are still here ready to defend.
The DIAA Men's Final is Notre Dame College v UC Davis, a rematch of . The DIA Final is Saint Mary's v Life, for th 5th straight year. And Cal is in the Varsity Cup for the 5th straight year, but against a new opponent - Arkansas State.
