Our latest commits include a huge haul for Iowa Central CC.
Tritons Head Coach Brent Nelson was seen at high school tournaments throughout the spring and professed to GRR that he enjoys the recruiting part of his job. Acknowledging that Iowa Central underperformed last season, Nelson has pulled in talent from Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, as well as further afield like Florida and California.
"Iowa high school rugby is precious to us," said Nelson. "But they only play 7s so we make sure we bring in players from all over the country. The key thing for us is that because we're a two-year school and freshmen will often start for us, we look for character and maturity."

This list is brought to you by Next Phase Rugby.
Next Phase Rugby is an app that we at GRR helped develop that connects high school rugby players to college rugby programs. It works on IOS and Android and on laptops as well.
Go to NextphaseRugby.com (or your app store) and download the app. On the website you can create your account (free to start, with additional pay levels). Then use your new, verified login to sign into the app and create your profile.
Nelson was not shy in his positive comments about Next Phase.
"The data base and the app are really useful tools," he said. "I think you'll get the same evaluation from any coach that uses it. We've got players using Next Phase and it's just so easy to use. It just works."
It's easy, only takes a few minutes, and now colleges around the country can see your information and help you jump-start your college search.
