The LA Sevens is soon upon us and so is the LA Invitational, which will be held May 2 in Irvine, Calif.
One day of competition means teams can come in, play, enjoy themselves, and see the LA Sevens, which will include the World Championship SVNS tournaments for both men and women.
With this being a reboot of the LAI, and with the LA Sevens now being held in May, things are changing about who is free to play.
According to our sources, the Men's Premier competition is solid. There is probably some space open for teams still, but the chief plan, to have it be a return to the old ITTs augmented by some other squads, has come to pass. Rocky Mountain, Mid-Atlantic, Pacific Northwest, Texas/Red River, and Southern California are all sending teams. There will be other teams in the bracket as well, including an Australian side, but the territorial nature of the bracket is a great way to showcase 7s talent from around the USA.
The Youth Division features kids, mostly from the local area, at all youth levels.
