We’re getting deeper into the Northern California club season even as the school season wraps up.
Granite Bay took on Mother Lode over the weekend in a tense, defensive game that Granite Bay would take 8-0.
That was enough to bump Granite Bay to 1-1. Outside center Brodie Walker was a terror with ball in hand and his running put Granite Bay in the Mother Lode half for much of the game. They just struggled to finish off scoring chances.
In the end Walker would notch the lone try and also kicked the penalty goal that made it a one-score game.
