Capitals took a big win over South Meck to move to 2-2 in North Carolina Red Division action Saturday.

Led by a solid game from captain and flyhalf Cash Bridger, the Caps took an early lead and took a 33-0 advantage into halftime.

No. 8 Saxton Cullet, who ended the game at prop, was also hugely effective for the Capitals.

Meanwhile, South Meck Head Coach Rick Norvell said his team's defense was definitely a work-on. They needed to tackle better.

Perhaps that was most evident when lock Henry Bull rambled for two breakaway tries. Gage Hook, who has made the transition from center to prop, is now a very fast prop who still works the midfield nicely. He broke through for a 50-meter try.

Another former center, Xavier Howard-Morris, is now a flanker and was a massive contributor also.

South Meck did score two tries and a drop goal. Final score: 52-15 (officially 50-15).

"Very proud of the lads and the fact they don't question when I give them the chance to play in the forwards," said Head Coach James "Kiwi" Roberts. "The kids had a lot of fun. South Meck is very young and will be back at the top soon and threy put on a phenomenal 3rd half."
