The seeds and brackets for the Boys HS Rugby National Championships are set.
The games are scheduled. Herriman and St. Edward, fans will notice, will play earlier than the other Single-School Bracket teams because St. Edward players will be returning to the Cleveland area on Thursday. night in order to attend their graduation ceremonies.
Thanks to some fancy re-planning and cooperation between the two teams, this match has been able to be played early on Thursday.
Of the 24 teams in the competition, 15 have won their state or are the defending state champs from 2025. Of the remaining nine teams, two are in their state finals this coming weekend, two don't compete in their state playoffs, four are (or were) state runners-up, and one is a state semifinalist.
Five of the school teams have won the HS National Championship before, with Jesuit of Sacramento leading that list with nine previous championships, however, in the last 11 tournaments, Gonzaga has won six times.
The last two HS Club champions, Charlotte Cardinals and San Diego Mustangs, return and are seeded 1 and 2.
