As we warned you earlier this year, these rankings will have major changes.

Club teams can have high turnover and the ebb and flow of success is a bit more dramatic for clubs than it is for schools. Having said that, we made a mistake in moving Boca down earlier because we should have ensured they remained ranked ahead of Key Biscayne.

As it turns out, Key Biscayne did very well at the Carolina Ruggerfest, and that's a good indication of the overall quality of those top Florida teams. Yes it wasn't the highest bracket at Ruggerfest (although Okapi did very well in the Elite bracket), and yes it's a tournament, but we have to use that evidence.

Fort Hunt did really well at Ruggerfest and they move up six spots. The South Carolina Barbarians lost to Fort Hunt by a conversion. They enter the Top 50.

However, it IS a tournament with shortened games. Those close Ruggerfest results can be tossed out if performances change.

Three other big movers are Missoula, Liberty, and Doylestown. Based on early results, Doylestown may be the #1 club in the nation. We'll see ...

Liberty and Missoula both jump up thanks to a) Liberty beating Missoula and b) Missoula beating Eastside. That's one of those big shifts we warned you about.
