The National Youth 7s enjoyed a stirring Friday on the campus of Walsh University in North Canton, OH.

Badger Selects and EIRA Texas are leading the way in the U14s. Both went 3-0 with the Badger Selects limining opponents to just three tries on the day.

This bracket saw two tries, with Highland tying the DMV Raiders.

And West Park tying Panther Rugby Academy.

West Park and DMV won the tiebreaker (points difference) to advance to the semifinals.

In the U16s Badger Selects were again unbeaten, going 3-0 on the day and setting up a chance on Saturday to finish running the table in the five-team pool. Matching them was Loudoun County, a team of players who play together all the time and who showed it in beating Assassins, Iowa Selects, and Cleveland Rugby Academy.

Badger were unbeaten also in the U18s, although the Wisconsin group did end up tying 4G Academy 19-19 in their opener.

Defending champs Panther Rugby Academy swept through to the semis with a 3-0 record.

So Saturday kicks off with Badger Selects vs DMV Raiders and EIRA Texas vs West Park in the U14 semis.

For the U16s, pool play had to wrap up but  Loudoun County and Badger are through with Gorilla probably playing Loudoun in one semi and either iowa Selects or Assassins facing Badger.

The U18 semis are set, too, with Badger Selects vs Sandhill and Panther Rugby Academy taking on Gorilla Rugby.
