Arkansas Takes a Step Closer
Arkansas Takes a Step Closer
The University of Arkansas took one fairly big step closer to claiming the Heart of America conference with a 67-7 defeat of Truman State Saturday.
Their two main rivals won, also, but it still seems that the Razorbacks are in the driver's seat.
Kansas State beat Kansas, but only 19-16, meaning they failed to claim a fur-try bonus point, and now sit only three points ahead of Arkansas with Arkansas having a game left to play. K-State has completed its regular season. Completing its regular season also was Missouri, forfeit winners over Oklahoma State. They, too, are three points ahead of Arkansas.
So all Arkansas has to do to win the conference is beat Iowa State next week - they don't need a bonus point, just a win.
