Expand your rugby coaching understanding and test out some new ideas at the American Way Coaching Conference this coming August in Fort Lauderdale.

The Conference is schedule to coincide with the USA vs Argentina match on August 15, and the US Rugby Foundation's Hall of Fame induction ceremonies on August 14.

The American Way Coaching Conference is a new national initiative from USA Rugby focused on elevating coaching standards and supporting the growth of the game across the United States. The idea behind it is to establish and promote an overall American way to coach.


Weekend Schedule:

US Rugby Hall of Fame, beginning 5PM ET, August 14. Location: Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel.

American Way Coaching Conference, beginning the morning of August 15 (8:30AM-6:30PM) and continuing on August 16 (PAM-2PM). Location: Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel.

USA vs Argentina Men's International Rugby Match. Kickoff 7:30PM August 15. Venue: Inter Miami CF Stadium, Fort Lauderdale.


Through collaboration, education, and shared learning the conference aims to strengthen the pathway from grassroots rugby to the highest levels of the sport.

The Conference will focus on delivering practical, game-relevant coaching education sessions, while also supporting the continued growth of rugby in schools and communities across the country.

Attendees can expect:

  • Dynamic mix of keynote speakers and curriculum
  • Interactive coach-to-coach sessions
  • Opportunities to connect with fellow coaches, administrators and leaders
  • All registrations include a ticket to USA vs Argentina XV match, Aug 15th

There will also be a Coaches and Referees panel titled: 

Partners In the Contest: A Shared Vision for Great Rugby with USA Men's Head Coach Scott Lawrence as a special guest.
