All-Time American List: Diane Schnapp
All-Time American List: Diane Schnapp
From about 1990 through 1998 the USA women’s 15s team was one of the three best teams in the world, rising to the top of that heap and staying near it for close to a decade.
To reach such heights you need plenty of mountain climbers, and perhaps the strongest and most dogged of them all was Diane Schnapp.
Most playing openside flanker, Schnapp was supremely talented, an intense tacklers, and completely unselfish. Many players on that 1990s team received accolades for their glowing stats and highlight-reel tries. Schnapp just smashed ballcarriers, stole ball, and won possession at rucks—and did it better than anyone.
