North Carolina HS All-Stars Impress on Thanksgiving Trip

The North Carolina HS All-Stars took a Thanksgiving Week trip to Ireland coming away with some excellent lessons for the up-and-coming players.

Touring without players from the Charlotte Cardinals allowed the team to find more playing time for players from other teams and Coach Joe Rasmus said the tourists showed massive resilience in dealing with some hiccups and challenges.

Four HS Winners Crowned in NY 7s

The Toronto Reds won the NY 7s Boys Premier championship for the second time in a row, Saturday.

The Reds beat Atlantis 25-15 in the final on a chilly evening at Randall’s Island in New York City.

It wasn’t all Toronto Reds over the day’s play, however, as they were edged 19-14 by Atlantis in their opening pool match.

Massive HS Brackets in NY 7s

Saturday sees the massive NY 7s kick off with a very, very robust group of High School brackets. 

As is always the case with such things, the rosters and how quickly those teams come together will decide who wins and loses. Sometimes it's the club teams that are more familiar with each other that do better.

Father Ryan Girls Roll to Tennessee 7s Title

Father Ryan wrapped up the Tennessee Girls State 7s Championship tournament with a 5-0 and a state title. Under Head Coach Jessica Knowles, the Lady Irish didn't lose all season, coming into the final tournament 15-0, and ran the table.

West Pitt Takes Rugby Ohio Girls 7s

Rugby Ohio’s girls 7s title went to a team from out of the state, as West Pitt defeated Brunswick in a close one in the final.

West Pitt plays in Ohio because the travel to the Cleveland area is much easier. They will also compete in the Rugby Pennsylvania finals a week from now.
