Boys HS Club Rankings Week 1 2021
Our first week of Boys HS Club rankings is somewhat like the School rankings except that there have been more HS Clubs in action so far.
We are still ranking teams much, much more on what we've seen so far combined with how close they are to playing. With several teams looking to play their first games as early as this coming weekend, we feel confident with this Top 20.
Puriri Invitational Jump Starts Teams in Utah, Arizona
Slowly teams in Utah Youth Rugby are getting going and the traditional kickoff event has for years been the Ra Puriri Invitational in St. George, Utah.
College Showcase A Success in Texas
On Sunday, February 21st at LD Bell High School in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, the Dallas Reds, together with Gorilla Rugby, hosted a College Rugby Showcase for High School players.
Rugby players from 16 California High Schools and eight Texas High Schools were in attendance.
Strake Jesuit Opens Season With Two Wins
Strake Jesuit began its season with two wins over the weekend, beating Katy and Lamar to start the season 2-0.
Both efforts were impressive in their own right, with Strake dismissing Lamar 42-10 on Saturday after taking on a Katy team that is a frequent visitor to Goff Rugby Report's HS rankings.
Still Tight In Florida; Wolverines Win Big
It remains very tight in Florida's high school league after this week's action.
Key Biscayne got a bit of a surprise at Wellington. Cardinal Gibbons stepped into the fray. (We had Gibbons winning their opener but that was an error based on reporting from other sources—Okapi won that game 28-10). And Jacksonville returned to winning ways.
