Boys HS Club Top 50 2024: Week 14

We have had to shuffle some teams. When a group has one team beat another which beat another which beat the first team, we have to make some decisions based on surrounding games. But, if another result comes in, we might change it all around again. So it is with Vienna, Forth Hunt, Aspetuck, and Richmond. With Richmond beating Vienna, we have moved things around a bit.

Tigers, Raptors Clash in Entertaining Nash Bash Final

The Nash Bash U19 tournament was held this past weekend with the tournament culminating in a close final between Tennessee-based Raptors and North Carolina's Charlotte Tigers. Pelham Pulls Off Shocker Win Over Xavier in NY

In what has to be thought of as an upset, Pelham HS defeated Xavier HS 20-14 in MetNY action over the weekend. Pelham (ranked #21 by GRR) left the game elated with the win over the #2-ranked Xavier, but also feeling like they could have scored more. “We came away feeling like we outplayed them,” said Pelham HS Head Coach Matt Persanis. “No luck, no trickery. Strikers Log Big Win in Tight Virginia Conference

The Richmond Strikers defeated Vienna 33-17 over the weekend, making for a very close league in Rugby Virginia. With Richmond having dropped a 24-14 decision to Fort Hunt the week before and in March Vienna beat Fort Hunt 19-12, this is a wide open league. East SLC Wins Battle of East HS Teams

East Rugby out of Salt Lake City, Utah defeated the visiting East Rugby from Denver, Colo. last weekend and the hosts came away with a well-taken 36-10 victory. East SLC scored first when wing David Bergstedt grabbed a loose ball on the sideline and ran it in.
