That was nice for a number of reasons, not least of which was that the turf field was cleared of snow, making things a little easier in chilly Wisconsin. It was also a nice indication of the respect the program has earned.
Holiday, Finals Tough on Playoff Prep
Thanksgiving and academics have thrown preparation for the Men’s DII finals weekend off a little bit.
All four teams left in the competition - Wisconsin-Whitewater, Minnesota-Duluth, James Madison, and Notre Dame College - had most of last week off due to Thanksgiving.
NSCRO Latest - NEC to Nat Semis
New England College dominated their regional playoffs in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) with a 72-5 defeat of the University of Rochester, and a 38-12 defeat of Eastern Connecticut State.
That put NEC in the national semifinals, joining Central region winners St. John’s. Two more spots remain to be claimed for the April 25-26 finals.
